A beautiful Winter wedding in Brisbane, Becc & Matt were married at Eagle Farm Racecourse. Guests travelled from Townsville, Mackay & from all over!
The O'Shea Family
This session was a special one to be a part of. The O'Shea family have a distance barrier. Luke being in the Australian Army, is here in Townsville. His wife and their daughter live back in her home country of Ireland. So this session was not only a defence session, but also a family session to commemorate a moment in their life, here together, as a family in Townsville, North Queensland.
Natali & Jake // Maternity
When repeat clients (and good friends of mine) Natali & Jake informed me that they were expecting, I was so over the moon! Natali who I met in highschool, and her husband Jake who I met a few years later, are just the most humble people - and they were expecting a baby girl, to add to their family of 2 Rottweilers. This session was one of my very last prior to leaving Townsville and moving back south to my hometown of Wollongong NSW, so their maternity session was my gift to them.
Larissa & Sam // Maternity
Larissa contacted me with one pre-requisite for their maternity session - it had to have water.
Jourama Falls is located in the Paluma Range National Park, just south of Ingham, North Queensland. This was to be the perfect location for our session!
Expecting a baby boy, Larissa & Sam were very excited of the impending arrival of their new addition. Both originally from NSW, it was the defence force that brought them both to North Queensland, and capturing this moment in time was so important for them to be able to share with their friends and family back home.
The Finch Family
This family was A LOT of fun. Held just a day after Belle's parent's session, we ventured out in hunt for some stunning golden light for our sunset session. Townsville is such a good location, in the fact that it has so much to offer. Gorgeous sunrises over the beach, and sunsets over fields and grasslands - prime locations at our disposal!
Belle & Chris's 3 children are so cheeky and hilarious. So of course, we embraced these qualities and captured the essence of their personalities!
Trisha & Christian // Maternity
Trisha & Christian's photo session was a last minute decision. They were first time parents, expecting twin boys!
Maternity sessions are a great way to signify a huge transition in your life, and the impending arrival of your new addition/s to your family. At a time where you may not feel beautiful, may not feel glamorous, these sessions aim to show you exactly how beautiful you are, and how incredible pregnancy really is. And isn't Trisha just glowing!
The McDonald Family
Townsville holds the biggest army base in Australia. So, it's no surprise that a significant proportion of the population have moved to the North Queensland city for work in the services. The McDonald family were one of those, and contacted me wanting family photos to document this time in their life, in the new city they were residing in. Townsville is also home to some of the best sunsets I have ever witnessed, and thankfully we were blessed with some stunning golden light to end our session.
The Hancock Family
I started offering defence sessions, as with Townsville having such a high defence presence, why not! At a 30% defence discount rate, families who wanted photos with their defence loved one, in uniform now could. The Hancock Family are an airforce family, filled with love and admiration for their father/husband in service. It was only fitting that we held our session at the Jezzine Barracks, a site full of defence history.
Alicia & Max // Couple Session
This session just came about by chance. Alicia was my 'fresher' at our residential college at university. Kinda the similar way that the American system has sorority/fraternity hierarchy, Australian residential colleges have adapted a similar concept for new residents to mingle with old residents - thankfully without all the other steps of initiation that we see and hear in the media!
Aaanyway, we got to talking, and Alicia mentioned she was interested in a session with her boyfriend Max. The connection between these two is unreal. They are so incredibly in love, and this showed in our session. This session was a lot of fun!
Natali & Jake // Anniversary
This was the first time I'd been contacted to capture a first wedding anniversary - but I thought, what a good idea! A year on from marrying the love of your life, should absolutely be celebrated with a photo session to commemorate this first, of many annual milestones. Mia, their Rottweiler fur-baby tagged along and of course, stole the spotlight!
