I've shot their wedding & family session & now the Seath’s are expecting bub #2! We held their maternity session at sunset at the beach in Wollongong.
The Dockrill Family
This session brought me so much joy! A family full of love and laughter, with a "whatever goes" attitude are seriously the dream. The Dockrills travelled down to the Illawarra from Western Sydney for our family session, and their gorgeous Border Collie named Reggie came along for the ride.
Our first scheduled session we had to postpone due to inclement weather. I'd promised this location with stunning sunset colour, and well, when it's raining and overcast this is far from achievable. Thankfully we did reschedule because check out that punchy sunset colour! The light over our location was exactly what I had invisioned for our session and I could not have been happier!
I got to know this family through Mum, Elise who is a super talented photographer herself! Elise is the face behind Floragraphica, and specialises in bespoke imagery of wedding bouquets and floral arrangements. Brides, this is a PERFECT way to preserve your wedding bouquet following your wedding. Elise photographs the intricate details of your wedding florals, creating statement art pieces for your walls, and immortalizing your wedding florals well before they wilt for you to keep forever! I could seriously plug Elise's work all day, she's undeniably amazing at what she does!
And here is her clan! Her two beautiful children, husband and fur-baby Reggie; enjoying some sunset fun in the waves of one of Wollongong's best beaches.
Bec & Chris // Married
An intimate wedding of just family and a few close friends was the perfect choice for Bec & Chris - a big wedding just wasn't them. Another thing that made their wedding uniquely theirs, that they included in their ceremony was a pledge by all attending guests that they were to celebrate and cheers with champagne with them as the reception kicked off!
When I asked Bec to describe their wedding in 3 words, she said small, intimate & romantic. These three words perfectly described their day! A few tears, a lot of laughs, and you can see from their guests faces, a lot of love and support for this beautiful couple.

The Hatcliffe Family
Logan and Cooper are seriously the cutest brothers ever! Now the saying goes - never work with children or animals, yet I firmly believe the opposite. In family photography you need to work WITH the children - especially toddlers! At this age they're mastering the word "no" and able to dictate their wants and needs - and that's usually when bribes come to play to achieve co-operation. All Logan wanted to do was run down the dune from where we started our session, and play in the water. So a few white lies and promises to get by, including close knit candids with his family helps achieve our goal - with him getting his way towards the end of the session, because those jeans got DRENCHED!
I had a lot of fun with this session. The light was AMAZING - there were storms forecast for that night, so the sky was a very dark and moody, with the stunning contrast of the beach. Halfway through there was a break in the clouds though and just this absolute beam of light came through.
With so much love in this family, our session was full of laughs and fun - thanks Hatcliffe's for inviting me along to spend an afternoon with you!
Tash & Mike // Couple Session
From the moment that Tash enquired, I knew we were going to have an amazing session! You can tell a lot from how people word their emails, and Tash's were filled with emoji's and exclamation marks - my favourite! :)
We met at one of my favourite spots in the Illawarra, with angry looking skies to the north, but clear blue skies with radiant sunshine to the west. I was greeted with 3 absolutely beaming smiles, and excitement for our session! Tash is from Sydney, Mike from the northern suburbs of Wollongong and have been together for a while now. And then there's the beautiful Amani, such a beautiful 6 and a half year old, with a giggle that'd make the crankiest smile!
Mike was telling me that alllll Tash wanted was water shots. And this was totally okay with me! Thankfully at the spot I chose, there's waves, but there's also a deeper rock pool that is sheltered and the water is almost still. Thankfully being Spring, the water is quite temperate!
Tash and Mike are such a beautiful couple. I have tricks and ways to generate the natural emotion out of my couples, as having your photo taken can be an awkward thing and take some warming up to - but with these two I didn't them! They just have so much love for each other, and just like to have fun together, which made my job an absolute breeze. Capturing these personalities together exactly as they are, relaxed, raw and real.
Rebecca & Michael // Engaged
This year's been a year of love and excitement for the Leet family! A family of 3 children, one recently married, and 2 engaged to their partners, both in March 2017 just weeks apart. How crazy is that?! Rebecca's brother Josh, I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with him and his fiance a few months ago capturing their engagement session at Killalea State Park.
For Rebecca & Michael's session, we decided upon a sunrise at the beach. Here on the East Coast of Australia, we're lucky to have the sun rise over the ocean, and with some of the best beaches in the world - they're a perfect location!
We had had a stint of rain the day prior but thankfully the Bureau of Meterology gave the green light for clear skies. There was still a bank of cloud buildup on the horizon when we met on location, but the colour that emerged soon after was phenomenal! Definitely worth the early morning alarm on a Sunday morning!
Rebecca and Michael will be married locally next year.
Tearne & Aydan // Married
I feel like it was only a few months ago that we were throwing around Autumn leaves and having a blast at their engagement session.. oh wait it was!
Tearne and Aydan are such a gorgeous couple. We clicked instantly with our first skype meeting and our connections just grew from there. Tearne has such an infectious laugh and has a similar sense of humour to I and Aydan also shares the same love for Iron Man that I do - instantly we became lifelong friends!
Tearne's Matron of Honour was her Mum, Stephanie - a testament to their very close relationship.
Aydan's Woman of Honour was his best friend Kirsty.
And their gorgeous "Best Dog" was their pup, Diesel.
Their ceremony was held on the upper dunes of Shellharbour Beach, at Shellharbour Beachside Tourist Park. We ventured down to Killalea State Park for their bridal portraits, and it took a bit of convinving with Tearne, but I promised it was worth it. A bride who can trek over the rock platform onto the beach, up for a bit of adventure is my kind of bride! Thankfully her wedding shoes were some trusty Havainana's which perfectly suited our location. The light was absolutely stunning - Tearne soon thanked me for the trek!
Tearne & Aydan's reception was held at the Shellharbour Club. The staff went absolutely above and beyond for them and their special day, was truly impressed.
The club has recently opened up "The Precint" - an indoor, permanent street eats sector, along with a big section for the kids to play. We had a lotttt of fun in the neon lights of the Precinct, and finishing up in the billiards room upstairs.

Lauren & Jack // Engaged
On their overseas holiday earlier this year, Jack popped the question. They were travelling through Europe, and in London on their anniversary they became engaged. What a place to pop the question right?!
We held our engagement session in the beautiful coastal town of Gerringong. The golden light of the sunset was superb, due to the back-burning for fire hazard reduction going on in the surrounding suburbs.
The connection between Lauren and Jack and their obvious adoration for each other, just radiated through our session. They are looking to tie the knot in 2019.
